About Justice4Lachie

On January 29, 2019, the unthinkable happened. Three-year-old Lachlan Jones was found by a police K9 officer, submerged face-up in an oxidation pond. Lachlan’s tiny body was located 1.2 kilometers from his home on Salford Street in the Southland town of Gore. The police immediately closed Lachlan’s case as an accidental drowning; no proper investigation was completed.

Paul Jones, Lachlan’s father, refused to believe the official conclusion and has spent the last 4.5 years battling for the truth. He hired attorneys. He hired private investigators. He turned to the media. He engaged a forensic expert. He begged for someone to hear him, to hear his son, and to help them find the truth. Now, the Coroner’s Office has opened a formal inquest. The police have admitted to making mistakes.

Paul is now asking for your help by purchasing a reminder, “Justice for Lachlan”, and play a part in their quest for the truth.
